Kantar Media to be main sponsor of 2012 European Measurement Summit

The International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC), and the Institute for Public Relations has announced the 4th European Summit on Measurement, will be held in Paris, from June 13th-15th, 2012. It is the largest event of its type in Europe.

Kantar Media, leading provider of media market insights, will be the Summit Official National Partner.

The Summit is aimed at corporate communications and public relations professionals as well as market research and evaluation agencies. Best practices from business and insights from research on an international level will be presented at the event

Jean-Michel Portail, CEO of Kantar Media Intelligence Europe, said "Media evaluation is a key part of Kantar Media's wider research strategy. Our ambition is to build on our existing market strengths in Europe and we are therefore delighted to be the 2012 Summit National Partner. Our hope is that the Paris summit will set new standards at a time of great interest in PR research and measurement."

Barry Leggetter, Executive Director of AMEC, said: "We are delighted our next Summit will be in Paris and to be working with such a strong National Partner in Kantar Media who we know will contribute fully to the Summit programme."

Following the adoption of the Barcelona Principles, AMEC has announced it is to build a cross-industry effort to execute the Measurement Agenda 2020 published from its European Summit in Lisbon, in June this year.

Frank Ovaitt, President and CEO of the Institute for Public Relations, said: "The momentum for change is undeniable as research and measurement emerge as true hallmarks of professionalism in communications. That movement will continue to unfold as AMEC, IPR and Kantar Media present the 2012 event."

Over 200 delegates from 37 countries attended the 3rd European Summit on Measurement presented in Lisbon this year.

Details about the Summit on Measurement will be available soon at www.amecorg.com.
